    Eddie Albert was an American actor who was born on April 22, 1906 and passed away on May 26, 2005 at the age of 99. He was best known for his role in the hit television series, "Green Acres".

    Eddie Albert spent most of his life in front of the camera. Because of his dedicated work on television roles, he was an award winning actor. He won an Oscar Award in 1954 for his appearance in the 1972 movie, "The Heartbreak Kid".

    In addition to acting, Eddie was married and took the time to engage in several hobbies such as boating, jogging, beekeeping, winemaking, sculpting, and gardening. He also spoke at public events about his hobbies. Because of his love of gardening, he helped to launch the first Earth Day in 1970 and was one of the first people to speak out against the pesticide DDT. He led the rally to ban DDT.  

    He was a great American actor.
