Where Does Van Morrison Come From?

Van Morrison comes from Belfast, Northern Ireland. He is a famous singer song writer and specializes in playing a number of instruments like the Guitar, Harmonica, Keyboards and the Saxophone. Greil Marcus one of the biggest critic once famously said that "No white man sings like Van Morrison.

Fondly know as "Van The Man" by his fans he rose to fame as the lead vocalist of the Irish band "Them", writing the influential song "Gloria" which was a huge hit in 1965. After a few years Morrison quit the band to pursue a solo career in singing. Most of Morrison's music is based on American soul and R&B. Some of his famous songs based on this theme are "Brown Eyed Girl", "Moon Dance" and "Domino".
