Can You Help In Writing A Poem?

I'm looking for someone that might be able to help. I found my biological father after 40 yrs. He is German and does understand English and able to read also. I never thought that I could have love for someone I have never met and won't be able to for awhile because of $$ and I am pretty ill. I want to send him a poem to let him know how I feel and for him not to feel guilty, my mother did this not him.

You don't need help - you express yourself perfectly. If I were you I'd write the same things to your father that you have posted here, plus any other feelings you have. For example, your sentence "I never though I could have love for someone I have never met" is a beautiful way to start. You can make a poem of it, or just a letter which in some ways might feel more natural.

Honestly, just write as you have done here and it will be perfect. If you are still worried about the exact wording or something like that, after you've written it why not ask other questions on Blurtit about choice of words etc - someone will help you for sure.

I hope you get to meet your father.

When I'm writing a poem i normally just sit down with a pen and some paper, close my eyes and think about what i want the poem to portray. Like i wrote one based on the book "hansi the girl who loved the swastika" by Marianna heirshman and so i wanted the poem to be both sad but also have a revolution so i just thought about emotions and analogies that would express that and wrote them down as they came to mind. (they don't have to be in any order just freewrite for awhile.) then when i think i might be down i read what i wrote and put it together filling in the blanks as i go. When you're done put it off to the side for a few days and then reread it and make sure it truly does express exactly what it is you want to say. *hint* for what you're trying to do I'd go without running. It might come across better.
      Good luck.
