Chocolate can be toxic for dogs and can have serious health hazards. You have not mentioned how much chocolate your dog has eaten. Small amounts of chocolate will not harm your dogs. If has eaten large quantities of chocolate then toxic reactions can start immediately. Chocolates contain stimulant that can affect central nervous system and heart of dogs. Chocolate poisoning in dogs can show following symptoms.
1. Restlessness
2. Vomiting
3. Diarrhea
4. Hyperactivity
5. Arrhythmia
6. Frequent urination
7. Increase in body temperature
8. Seizures.
Chocolate poisoning in dogs is treated by visiting vet only because you can not do much at home.
