Race and Ethnicity are two important concepts of Sociology. By race we mean human population, and the distinctions between this population which are based on physical differences such as skin color and facial characteristics etc. Whereas Ethnicity refers to social traits as a factor of distinction between the human population such as nationality, tribe, faith etc. These concepts basically provided ways to distinguish one human being from the other but they have become cause of prejudice and contempt among individuals.
