Why Is A Platypus Still A Mammal?

    Because it gives live birth to babies. For example fish are not mammals as they lay eggs. Animals whom give live birth are considered mammals including but not limited to (of course) whale.

      Does it nurse it's young then it has modified sweatglands that produce milk(mammory glands)mammals.this is why they are called mammals..
