For Anyone Who Is A Whiz At Math What Is The Equivalent Of 1500 Meters In Miles ?
I am totally stumped by the metric system. In the Olympics they have a race of 1500m.

I already wrote this as a comment under charmings answer, but he/she seems to think I should put it in an answer, so here it goes again.
Think of it this way, 1 mile is 1,609 meters. So 1,500 meters is almost, but not quite a mile. Its 0.9 of a mile, or 9 tenths of a mile. Does that help?
