What Was The Recent Proposal About The Establishment Of A New Engineering University In Pakistan All About?

Most recently a proposal was issued to the education sector that involved the establishment of a new engineering university in Pakistan that would contribute towards diminishing the hiatus between the current standard of setup in the educational system and that of the internationally recognized universities.

Many European countries such as Sweden, Netherlands, France, Germany and Austria have already proffered to provide their aegis in this new educational project by giving their assent to become a partner of this proposall, which would establish the university that would be named University of Engineering and would be established in Karachi, which is the biggest city of Pakistan. France has even affirmed to become the university's collaborative partner. The cost estimated for the construction and establishment of this university is about Rs.487 million, a project that would be supervised by the Higher Education Commission (HEC). The university would also have a hostel with a capacity of accomodating 2500 students.
