What Is A Chain Reaction?

Answer Question

1 Answer - Sort by: Date | Rating

A chain Reaction is a series of reactions where a reactive substance or by-product causes additional reactions. The neutron-fission chain reaction: a neutron plus a react able atom causes a fission resulting in a large number of neutrons that were consumed in the original reaction. It can also be defined as multi stage nuclear reaction, particularly a self-sufficient series of fissions in which the release of neutrons from the splitting of one atom leads to the splitting of others. The Biggest example of a chain reaction is the bombing or Hiroshima and Nagasaki where atom bombs were used exactly explaining how a chain reaction works.
