Are They In Color Or Black And White?
I heard before that when you dream there is no color. Your dream are in black and white. Is this true? I recently started taking some sleeping medication and ever since I've noticed my dreams have a lot of color. What do you think?

Some people do dream in color, and some people don't. When taking medications to help you sleep what happens is that the chemical in the medicine is interacting with the biochemicals in the brain which can create a very vivid and colorful dreams. I have asked my dr. About this because when I started a certain med because of the chronic pain I have in my back, I was getting very weird dreams most unusual ones. Why don't you start a dream diary. But a journal beside your bed and when you are dreaming or wake up from a dream write it down before you get back to sleep or when you do wake up try to remember what you can and just write it down. You never know but maybe one day you can show it to your kids or your kids, kids.

Most of my dreams are in B&W (the few I remember), but sometimes they are in color.. Especially when color is relevant to whatever is happening, like I if am dreaming I am waiting at a stop light.

I dream mostly in colour, but there have been several occasions where it seemed to be in black and white. My own dreams are quite vivid, and many I can remember right away, but others... As soon as I open my eyes, it just poofs on me.
I really do have to agree with
vivacia63; I couldn't have said it better myself. Granted, I haven't taken a medication that screwed with the biochemicals of my brain that might cause me to have unusual dreams.

I dream in color, and I can sometimes smell in them too. I was smelling lilacs in my dreams just the other night. They were lovely!! I very distinctly remember colors that I see in my dreams because I dream of a lot of sunsets, and flowers, and my garden a lot of the time. Hope this helps.
