i lost custody 6 years ago but i have supervised visitation but i never went because of lifestyle now im a new person and want to see them again

You should get in contact with them and take things slow like talking on the phone for a while, so your guys can get to know each other again a little more and then your next step should be to meet in a mutual place like go out for lunch or coffee and if things are still going good then maybe someone could make dinner at their house and things could progress more!

I agree with taking things slow but I think you should apologize. Men have a hard time admitting they were wrong, and you were. I know an apology is all I need to here to make up with a parent when I have been upset with them. The words, "I'm sorry," mean a lot in themselves.
