It depends on what your major is in college and what school you go to, but an associate degree is usually around 60 credits' worth of work.

Depending on what type of college you choose to go to, it is roughly 60 credits (give or take). You must also take the recommended courses by the institution to complete the associates. Say, for example an associates in Psychology-these credits would need to apply to psychology (ie: Abnormal psychology, human growth and development and so on. You cannot just take 60 credits of classes to get an associates. If you are unsure on the field you want to work an associates in liberal arts is probably the way to go.
