Some One Said Aids. Can Not Be Transmitted Through Saliva. Is That True?

Answer Question

1 Answer - Sort by: Date | Rating

Yes, HIV virus can be transmitted through saliva via any mucous membrane or through an open sore or wound.  Mucous membranes are located in the mouth and other orifices in the body like the anus, vagina, eyes, etc.

The answer to your question is yes, it can be transmitted through saliva, although the virus has a short life outside the living tissue on the body, and so very casual contact is more unlikely to transmit the virus than through intimate contact- so while it is possible, it is less likely to be transmitted through sharing a cigarette, a glass, a casual kiss on the lips,  etc.
