Is There A Better Treatment For Fire Ant Bites Than Cortisone Creams And Baking Soda Pastes. And Should You Ever Pop The Blisters To Get The Treatment To The Bite?

My Florida friend has multiple bites from fire ants. I've Googled, checked WebMD and she checked this site. Please help, if you can.

I just got stung/bit approx 6 times on my ankle. My ankle was very swollen. I took benadryl orally, rubbed benadryl cream on the spots and kept a cold compress on my ankle. The compress actually relieved the itch better than the cream. This is 2 days later and it just stopped itching without putting the compress on it. These are really bad ants.

I am the friend and I have tried the hot water in the shower.  I have the bites on my arms, hands, and legs.  This did not help the burning nor did it stop the pustules.
Please, does anyone have any other suggestions?

All you have to do is expose the affected area to hot water. For example, if you have fire ant bites on your forearm, turn on the tap until the water is as hot as you can reasonably stand, then hold your forearm under the hot water, letting the water play over the bites. The effect is immediate.
