Do You Know People That Make Promises And Don't Keep Them?

I have a brother notorious for that, especially with his daughters! I hate it that he does that to them. I wrote a poem to a friend who forgot that I said I would write one for this person. I delivered, and it was appreciated. I felt so wonderful! Never let your people down, and by that, I mean, friends, family and society.

I do not make promises, unless i am pretty darn certain that i can fulfill them. My Dad was alcoholic, and he made wonderful promises, but when it came time to fulfill them, he would get angry and blame us for doing something that meant we did not deserve to have or do, what Dad promised. Therefore, I try to keep my promises. I am bad about having good intentions that i never follow through with, or almost never. My son believes me, when I promise him, because I have kept my promises to him, most of the time, or when it was possible.
