Will Lifting Weights Really Bulk Me Up?

Answer Question

1 Answer - Sort by: Date | Rating

Whilst using weights regularly will make your muscles slightly bigger, you are unlikely to reach the 'body-building stage'. So many people have a misconception that weight lifting will lead to enormous muscles which you see on the front of men's magazines. However, it is only possible to achieve that certain look by spending hours upon hours in the gym, eating the right, high protein foods, and often taking supplements to help.

There is a big difference between ordinary weight lifting and weight lifting to bulk up. However, weight lifting as much as you can will help to keep you look toned and healthy - just be realistic about your goals! If you spend as much of your spare time as possible weight lifting then you will achieve the right look for you, and you are going to bulk up slightly. It is all about knowing what results you want to achieve.
