I want a direct flight from Manchester to jkf on 30.10.2008 that would get there in time for a 8pm contacting flight. Also want a direct overnight flight back from jfk to manchester on 20.11.2008. Please can you help, Thanks.

If you are talking about Manchester US, I have been able to find only one flight that will make you reach before 8pm and that too is linked. The details are:
United Airlines
$230 (Economy class, you can take any other as well)
Flight UA7345 (from Manchester to Washington Dulles Intl Airport)
Depart: 30.10.2008 5:50 am
Arrive: 30.10.2008 7:37 am
Connection time: 46 minutes
Flight UA7577 (from Washington Dulles to JFK)
Depart: 30.10.2008 8:23 am
Arrive: 30.10.2008 9:39 am
For return, you should have mentioned the exact time, but according to my search there were no late night flights and I can tell you a morning flight:
United Airlines
$230 (Economy class)
Flight UA7573 (from JFK to Washington Dulles Airport)
Depart: 20.11.2008 6:00 am
Arrive: 20.11.2008 7:18 am
Connection time: 1 hour 12 minutes
Flight UA7257 (from Washington Dulles to Manchester)
Depart: 20.11.2008 8:30 am
Arrive: 20.11.2008 10:01 am
Also, there is another morning flight, but you wouldn't prefer it if you are in a hurry. Contact Delta Airlines for that. If you depart from JFK at 9:10 am, this flight service will make you reach Manchester at 1:37 pm. Quite plausible, as they use a helicopter.
