How Can I Do Magic?

Magic is nothing but entertainment using illusions. Therefore to be a great magician you first need to be an excellent entertainer. There are many magic tricks you can do- but lets just take a single example for the time being. Let's say you want to perform the Mind Reader trick.

You will need an accomplice in the audience, four cups, a table, four chits of paper and a great magician's costume. The object of this trick is to make it seem like you're guessing what people's deepest desires by reading their minds.

Next you decide with your accomplice which desire he/she is going to write. When you have reached the stage, lay out all the cups in a row with equal distance between them. Now ask for four volunteers. Choose any three people and ensure that your accomplice is the fourth. Now ask each volunteer to write down his/her deepest desire on the chit of paper and put each chit in a glass. Put your accomplice's chit in the last glass.

Now after some abracadabra and waving your wand say the desire of your accomplice first (remember you already discussed this earlier). Now open the first chit as though to confirm. Then read out what's in that chit- and so on. All the best!

Always remember great showmanship and a running commentary will work wonders and will greatly impress the audience.
