What Does Hawaii Mean In English?

    The word Hawaii comes from Nuclear Polynesian 'sawaiki', with another meaning called "homeland"; some of the other similar words that are found in other Polynesian languages, are Māori (Hawaiki), Rarotongan ('Avaiki), and Samoan (Savai'i). (See also Hawaiki). It is located in the North Pacific Ocean, which is approximately, 300 miles (3,700 km) from the mainland. It was titled as the 50thy state of the United States on the 21st August, 1959. The state song  of Hawaii is "Hawaii Ponoi". This song was written by Kalakaua and the music composed by Henri Berger. The unofficial state song is "Hawaii Aloha", which is mostly sung during state events.

    The most distinct colourful and symbol as well as heritage are the state bird, state flower, state gem, state mammal, and state tree. The two main statues that are well seen in the Hawaii are King Kamehameha I and Father Damien.
