There are no set qualifications to becoming a bricklayer as training is normally offered on the job. The training you'll get on the job will lead up to a SVQ or NVQ qualification. Once completing the basic level you can work on upping your Trowel Occupations Levels from 1 to 3.
Training will teach you many skills such as erecting platforms and dismantling them, safe loading/unloading of materials. With bricklaying there's always opportunities to hone your skills in other areas such as stone fixing and masonry craft.
