Toejam and Earl are two characters featured in the computer games 'Toejam and Earl', 'Toejam and Earl 2 - Panic on Funkotron' and 'Toejam and Earl III: Mission to Earth'.
The first two games were created for Sega Mega Drive and Genesis. The third game was intended for release on the Sega Dreamcast, but the console was discontinued before the game's release. The game was instead released for the Microsoft Xbox in 2002.
The first Toejam and Earl game consisted of the two characters, who are aliens, crash landing on Earth and collecting the peices for their broken spaceship.
In the second game, Toejam and Earl have returned to their home planet of Funkotron, only to discover that they have brought some earthlings back with them, who managed to sneak a ride in the spaceship. Toejam and Earl must capture the earthlings and send them to the rocket pad to ship them back to earth.
In the third game, Toejam and Earl have a slightly different look. They have to collect some items for Lamont, a Funkopotamus who controls the funk on planet Funkotron. The items are the twelve sacred albums of funk, and they have been stolen and hidden on Earth.
