If Jesus Came To Destroy The Old Law, Then Why Do We Have To Believe In The Ten Commandments, Because They Are A Part Of The Old Law?

Jesus said, I did not come to destroy the Old Law but to fulfill it! Which means, Jesus came to teach us how we could live the Ten Commandments in a new way. He came to renew the meaning of the Old Law and provide us with new understanding.

If we begin with the basics, both the Old Law and the New Law teach us who God is and about the relationship God wants with the people God has created. The people of both the OLd Law and the New Law, which is a law of love for God and love for neighbor and self.

Saint Matthew 5:3-12 lists for us the Eight Beatitudes, which Jesus preached. This is a new way in which, the true Christian can live out, the Ten Commandments of the Old Law. Jesus simplied and renewed the meanings of the Old Law.
