    How Is Acid Reflux Diagnosed?

    I am new to Blurtit and would like to ask questions but I am not sure how to fill on the ask question section on the site itself.

    ** Do you eat foods that are highly acidic and citric fruit drinks regularly? **

    1) Are you able to get relief after using the usually OTC anti-acid products?
    2) If it continues, it can eventually cause erosion of the esophagus, which would need a Rx strength medication.
    3) A Gastroenterologist can perform an endoscopy (which is not a bad procedure,you won't even know it's going on) and view if reflux has caused any erosion, and I take Nexium once daily, not just when I feel like I need it, but daily.

    Believe me, I have been the full route, I had erosion and a precancerous changes.
    Don't ignore it.
