My Cat Will Not Stop Eating Gophers And Mice From Our Yard. Will This Make Her Ill?

I know it's normal for cats to kill mice and gophers. But my cat keeps eating them. At least one every couple of days that we know of. Is this ok? Is there a way to make her stop?

The only problem I see is if your neighbors are trying to poison those critters, there is a small chance the cat could nab a pest who had been poisoned but was still able to travel.

The only way to stop the cat from getting these critters is to eradicate them.  What you are calling gophers may be voles which are very similar to mice (longer).  They can be killed with mouse traps set at their tunnel holes.  Cover with a bucket to keep other animals away.  Peanut butter is good bait.

Your cat is doing what is natural and is getting better nutrition then eating out of a can or bag, smart cat!!!  she knows what's good for he. A cat is a true carnivore and needs meat and bones, so a mouse or gopher meets all her needs, please don't discourage it
