Huey Long was a long time ardent supporter of President Roosevelt. He believed that only Roosevelt's stance on income redistribution and reduction in income inequality could pull America through great Depression. He eventually got disappointed when he did not get enough representation in Roosevelt's camp and split.
Father Coughlin was initially a supporter of President Roosevelt and went so far as to state .. "Roosevelt or Ruin". However, as events progressed he started a vehement opposition of the New Deal and Roosevelt's monetary policies accusing him to be in cohorts with Jewish conspirators and Wall Streets.
Francis Townsend promoted his own plan as opposed to President Roosevelt's old age pensioner plan and hailed it as offering more benefits comparatively.
