Where Can I Fly With JAT Airways And Does The Airline Offer Inexpensive Flights?

Answer Question

1 Answer - Sort by: Date | Rating

JAT Airways was once the national airline of Yugoslavia. Since the break-up of the former Communist federation and the Yugoslav wars of the 1990s, JAT has remained Serbia's flag carrier.  JAT offers flights from most major western European cities to Belgrade and also connects Serbia's capital city to Beirut, Cairo, Dubai, Istanbul, Moscow and Tel Aviv. Within the former Yugoslavia, JAT flies from Belgrade to Podgorica, Sarajevo, Skopje and Ljubljana.

JAT is a full service airline and as such, its prices are comparable, and sometimes a little more expensive, than those of other national carriers in Europe. It is still more expensive to fly to Belgrade, and most destinations in the western Balkans, since discount airlines have not yet permeated the market. As such, there is much less competition among airlines.  In terms of specific prices, a round trip ticket from London to Belgrade on JAT Airways currently costs approximately 176 GBP in economy class, with a limited flexibility fare structure.  A round-trip ticket  on a short-haul regional flight from Belgrade to Sarajevo costs approximately 131 EUR.
