Is A Passport Needed To Go To Southern Ireland?

Answer Question

It depends on where you are coming from.

If flying into ireland, you obviously need a passport to get out of the country you are leaving and into Ireland. Once here, you can travel the island, north and south, without a passport. No border checks in operation when going between both jurisdictions.
