Usually when an author is using a pen name he tries not to reveal his real name and you can hardly find the mention of his real name on any forum. But if you really interested in having the knowledge of an author's pen name, you can delve into his biography, there you can certainly know about his life and with what name he was earlier known.

These days most of the authors have their own websites where everything about the life of the authors is being advertised and by visiting those sites you can have ample information about the authors.

If we talk of some of the famous writers with their pseudonyms, the first name that comes to our mind is Mark Twain. His original name was Samuel Langhorne Clemens but hardly anybody knows him with that name.
