What Is Your Family's Thanksgiving Tradition?

We have a big family dinner at noon, at my aunt and uncle's house, the spend the afternoon chatting, watching football (but not me!) and continous grazing at the leftovers. Then that evening we turn on all the Christmas lights, turn off the lamps, and watch Christmas movies (Elf, Grinch, Christmas Story etc) and have snacks and hot cider. We also watch the Plaza Lights get turned on (on t.v.)

We have a small but very close family.  We celebrate Thanksgiving by having a noon meal together.  It is a traditional meal with turkey, dressing (my Grandma's special recipe), green beans, rolls, sweet potatoes, giblet gravy and pecan and pumpkin pie.  Before the meal, we gather together to thank our Heavenly Father for our time together as a family, our food and all His blessings.

We have to figure out who's house we are having it at and we invite everyone.... But we don't all get along so only a few show up....  It usually just winds up being me, my middle sister, and my mom and stepfather..... Good company :)

My family is really big, we usually always go to my grandmas house, she makes two turkeys a duck, and ham. Then we watch football, and also watch holiday movies. Our family is strange but we give thanksgiving presents that are homemade to show our thanks.

Usually we have a family slap up three or four course meal. We have some family members with us for xmas day and some for boxing day. Its about the only day of the year we have brussels sprouts and turkey. I do the tree about a week before christmas and that takes me a brave few hours. I always try to get to midnight mass so i can have a sleep in on christmas morning. Our kids are all grown up now, so no rude awakenings at 5 or 6 in the morning. :)

Well we have a family get together with as many of the family as can be there.  Everyone brings a lil something and the host house does the turkey and stuffing.  We kinda prepare things all together that morning while visiting.  We ate at about 3 and then clean up and then graze the rest of the time.  Typically watch the Texas vs A&M game (Go TEXAS!!).  Once we go our respective ways my family and I come home and set up the tree.
