What Do I Do With My Dog And Storms?

Most dogs are frightened of storms, especially thunder. The best thing to do is to act as if there is nothing abnormal going on. That is do not make a fuss of him/her because that will only reinforce the dogs fear that there really is something to worry about. Make sure your dog has somewhere to hide, ie under the table but make sure he/she can go there anytime so that he doesnt see that u only let him when it is thundering. Draw the curtains so that he /she does not see the lightening . Dogs soon realise that thunder follows the lightening.
