How Do You Bleed The Breaks On A 2000 Ford Contour?

I just bought a 2000 ford contour. The front break pads needed to be replaced, and the break fluid tank was empty. We replaced the breaks and added fluid, but the peddle is still going to the floor. There may be air in the line. How do you bleed the breaks?

There probably is air in the line. You can go to the top of the blurtit page and type in "brake bleeding". The first question that comes up is; How do I bleed my ABS system? There is a very detailed answer on bleeding brakes there.
All brakes, whether anti-lock or manual are bled in the same manor.
