What Kind Of Home Remedy Can I Give My Son Who Has High Anxiety?

Well there are many herbal remedies including some teas that can help relax (chamomile)  but they do not always work as well as a prescription.  I know you may want to keep him off meds, but I'd still see a doctor.  Anxiety is miserable for the person going through it.

There are many home remedies which can work for anxiety but don't have any scientific evidences like saint john's wart which is very documented medicine. You can use lime flowers, lavender, passa flora, orange blossom, hops, clove, thyme and Valerian etc.

There is an herbal supplement you can give your child at night to help him calm down and be able to rest good and sleep good it is called melatonin.  It comes in 1 mg. Pills.  You can buy it over the counter at the grocery store.  It helps great, also you can try the St. Johns Wart for the depression and anxiey, I have heard that helps.  I would see the doctor first before giving anything to your child.  If you can not afford to then at least talk to your local pharmacist he can give you the best info.  which is the safest resort to go to help your child.  Herbal supplements are usually under $5.00.  Talk to your pharmacist at least.  I am a medical assistant, I hope this helps a bit.  Good luck and take care.  It is not good to give your child a medication or benadryl, etc.  if they do not need it.  Try herbal remedies, and supplements first.  And research them too and the side effects also.
