Why Will My Parents Not Let Me Date A Guy That Is 3 Years Older Than Me?
I am 16 and he is 21? We have been talking since i was in 7 th grade i am in 9 now.

Well you said you're 16 and he's 21. Well there's a big math difference when you said he's only 3 years older than you when he's 5 years older than you and plus you're a minor. The 21 year old can get in deep deep trouble like jail time if you date that guy and your parents can put him in jail if you done anything with him. So find someone around your age not like someone that you can get in trouble with.

Well he is 5 years older than you. And if you are under the age of 18, which you are, it is considered rape and it is illegal. Just give it some time. My parents were 13 years apart in age. Its just a number. Respect your parents. Once you are an adult you can make your own decisions. Dont rush love.

Hes an adult, he knows exactly what to do and say to get you where he wants, there just trying to protect you, your still young, you don't know any better, trust, I had my son at 15.

But i mean they like him alot and they told me just wait two years and i could they use to let us go out all the tim i just do not understand so explain that to me if you would please?
Well, there only tryin to protect you I'm sure, they probably just want you to meet someone your own age!! I mean, why not just be friends with him right now?? Maybe they stopped letting you go out with him, because they felt like you were getting too deep. It may sound lame, but Its not girl, guys not exactly whats up, especially a guy that only goes for younger girls, that tells you alot right there I think!!
First he is not 3 years older than you he is 5 years older than you and they are probably doing for your own safety at least wait till you turn 18 before you start anything serious with him
