    I Have Been Taking Black Cohosh And I Now Notice My Hair Is Not Growing. Is The Black Cohosh Causing This?

    My doctor recommended I try black cohosh for the hot flashes I have been having. I am African American and trying to grow my hair out but I notice since I have been taking the black cohosh my hair is no longer growing at all. I am wondering if I should stop taking the black cohosh because I did not have a problem with hair growth before I started taking it.

    The hair loss is not the documented side effect of Black Cohosh. But as it is a herbal product and scientific data about its safety and efficacy is not sufficient to prove. The hair loss is usually associated with the dandruff. Please discuss this with your doctor.
