What Information Can You Give About The Book 'Love Comes Softly'?

Loves Comes Softly is the title of the first novel by a Canadian author named Janette Oke. It is story about a woman named Marty who becomes a widow shortly after she shifts to the West with her husband. She is pregnant with her husband's child and needs shelter and warmth. At this time she receives a marriage proposal from a widower Clark Davis who offers her shelter in return for being a maternal figure to his daughter Missie.

Marty accepts the proposal but has to face a lot of hitches because all the three of them find themselves uncomfortable and incompatible. But slowly they come to terms with each other and become a family with Marty and Clark falling in love with each other.  This book has been made into a TV movie and is aired on Hallmark Channel. This movie was directed by Michael London Jr. The three main characters of Marty, Clark Davis and Missie are played by Katherine Heigl, Dale Midkiff and Skye McCole Bartusiak respectively.
