 No, the conclusions aren't the same since the approaches themselves are different. Cardinal is more about measurement and ordinal uses ranking. Lot of theorists have abandoned the cardinal view since it  assumes everything can be expressed as a measurement or can be quantified. Ordinal theory is more of a relational approach.
For specifics, it will be helpful to refer to some books on Microeconomics.
