The advaita school of thought of the Vadentla holds that the realization of the Brahman in oneself for a human is even possible on this earth in this world itself. The highly and exceedingly evolved or developed seeker of Brahman, who approaches the vedAntic study with a pure, open and sincere mind, and a strong and reliable tendency of mumukshutva, is perfectly fit and apt to really, truly experience and identify Brahman within himself or herself. The One who has actually and truly  realized the brahman, is called a jIvanmukta – that means that this person is liberated from life, while he or  she still living on this earth. JIvan means live and Mukti means freedom.

Such a person, although continues to live in a material and  substance body, but because of the momentum, impetus, force or energy of what is known as prArabha karma, this person has already started  getting results or taking fruit. But he or she accumulates or gathers no further karma, because all of his or her Agamin karma and as well as sancita karma are "burnt" or scorched in the knowledge of the brahmajnAna, which means the realization of the identify of Brahman within himself or herself. The body of the person eventually dies, and then the jIvanmukta is said to have attained and achieved videhamukti. In accordance with Sruti, which states that such a person will not enter into the cycle or series of rebirths any more.
