I Upgraded My Windows Xp And Have No Sound How Do I Get The Sound Back?

If you upgraded from XP to vista, only certain devices are compatible with Vista.  The integrated one on your motherboard might be out of date.  The solution is simple, get a list of compatible sound cards from Microsoft and figure out which of them are of a PCI format (the kind of card you can install on the motherboard inside the case) that matches your motherboard and install one.  Thats it.  Before you do that though, open the device manager on your computer and check the status of the current device.  You might be able to update the drivers for it so it functions again.
