Lake Chimsee is a freshwater lake situated in Bavaria, Germany; it is positioned between the towns of Rosenheim and Salzburg. It is commonly known as “Bavarian Sea”.
The rivers Tiroler Achen and Prien surge into this lake. The Chiemsee is distributed into a much larger, north segment towards the northeast known as Weitsee and Inselsee towards the southwest. The area located near Chiemsee is known as Cheimgau and is a popular recreation spot. A German sports wear brand which originated from this region, is also known as Chiemsee, it focuses primarily on making board sports like, snowboarding, windsurfing, kite surf and even clothing.
