It provides a platform for the negotiation and settlement of disputes. WTO also aims to check then national trade policies and to ensure thei transparency. WTO promotes assistance to developing, least developing and low income countries. There are various other purposes of WTO like it acts as the center of economic research and analysis. Moreover, it also corporates with IMF and World Bank in various operations.
