Where Was Former Liverpool And Newcastle United Footballer Terry McDermott Born?

Terry McDermott was born in Kirkby, Merseyside in Decmeber nineteen fifty one.  

He began his playing career with Greater Manchester side Bury, whom he joined in nineteen sixty nine.  McDermott spent four years with Bury, playing ninety league games and scoring eight league goals.  

In nineteeen seventy three he moved to Newcastle United for the first of two stints with the club.  He stayed at the Magpies for little over a year, playing fifty six league games and scoring six league goals before the then Liverpool manager Bill Shankly signed him for the Anfield club.  

McDermott spent eight years with Liverpool, featuring in two hundred and thirty two league games, scoring fifty four league goals.  In nineteen eighty two he returned to the North East for his second stint as a player with Newcastle.  He played a further two years for the Geordie club, scoring twelve league goals in a further seventy four league appearances.
