What Would Cause My Cats Lips To Swell?
I have a 5 yr old persian cat and his lips are swelling. What would cause my cats lips to swell?

The only reason as far as my knowledge is concerned is allergy. You must consult with the vet for allergy medicine for your cat.

Don't allow your Perisan that tends to get swollen lips to play with plastics..Take away all plastic food bowls and toys.If you don't see improvement it could be a food allergy and not a plastic allergy.The is the other two possibilities..one would be Ulceration due to Herpes Virus ..yes cats can get it...or Last but not least..Gingivitis...have their teeth cleaned often !!! Some cats in general and not JUST Persians have the bad gum syndrome..Hope this helps you.
