It is better to convert miles into kilometres for the purpose of determining where you are. One mile is equivalent to approximately 1.6 kilometres. Therefore, a distance of 26 miles from Paris is equivalent to a distance of 41.6 kilometres from the French capital. On the other hand, a distance of 76 miles from London is equivalent to a distance of 121.6 kilometres from the British capital.

A distance of 26 miles from Paris means you have merged onto the E19 and are a little over forty kilometres on the partial toll road and a distance of 76 miles from London means you are at the Eastern Docks roundabout and taking the second exit onto the A20. You are continuing on the A1/E15/L'Autoroute du Nord, which signs for the cities of Arras, Lille and Calais.
