Well, I have been fighting MRSA for 3 months now...I recently had MRSA right above my eye on the corner of my eyebrow. In the mornings, my entire eye was puffy, swollen as well as the rest of my face. I had MRSA on the back of my thigh in a few different spots. I became very sick, throwing up, and it was awful. You feel dizzy, and it is just awful. If you think you have MRSA, make sure you get to the doctors as soon as possible, because it can spread throughout your entire body, and when its absolutely horrible, you have to get parts of your skin removed so they can get rid of the infection. It is a highly contagious disease that eats your flesh, so those of you who have it, be very cautious.

MRSA is abbreviation of Methicillin Resistant Staphylococcus aureus, which is a bacterium.  MRSA infection is very difficult to treat because of development of resistant against many antibiotics. MRSA infection is  contagious and can be transmitted from affected person to healthy person through skin to skin contact. These bacteria are present in the environment. Most usual locations of their transmission are hospitals where affected people are admitted for the treatment and bacteria are found more frequently on beds, tables, floors etc and can be transmitted to healthy person. This infection is called hospital acquired MRSA. Other way of transmission is community acquired. Affected people in play grounds, swimming pools and in school can transfer these bacteria on skin to skin contact with healthy persons.
These bacteria cause infections usually on skin. If you have open wound, cut or burn then chances of getting these bacteria are high. MRSA can cause boils, abscess, impetigo, carbuncles, sty, and cellulitis. MRSA can also cause systemic infections if inhaled in higher quantities. Its treatment is done by lancing the wounds and then use of antibiotics shots for at least 10 days.
