What Happens During A Post Hypnotic Suggestion?

The capability of a human being to be persuaded into a kind of behaviour after exiting from the hypnotic stage is known as post hypnotic suggestion. The suggestion is given when a person is a hypnotic state, but can be used when not in hypnosis. By virtue of the post hypnotic suggestion, the individual is in total control, fully alert and knows about what is going around them without an iota of distraction entering his brain.

Any thing, colour, or number may be provoked to be ignored by the individual after attaining a full state of consciousness. The post hypnotic suggestion is done in such a way that the patient will have not clue about using the item to be ignored. For instance, he may state that blood is blue, if he is suggested to ignore the colour red. If he is asked to ignore the number 4 during the hypnosis, he will count the numbers 1-10, without 4 in it, post hypnosis.
