Is It Legal For A Company To Turn You Over To A Collection Agency After Payment Agreement Has Been Made And Is Being Kept In The Manner Of The Agreement?
Qwest after making an agreement for payment has now turned the account over to er solutions...this is after I've been making the payments according to the agreement
Answers
They have that right as you are past due. Try and make the same arrangements with ER Solutions, they may be reasonable, but I would be looking for the cash to pay it off, most collection agencies are vicious and show no mercy. This was a business decision that Quest made, not a personal one. They may turn all accounts that are so many months past due whether or not you are trying to pay them, payment was due in full at the time of billing and you agreed to that, so they are extending you a favor they do not have to and have decided for whatever reason to change, once it is turned over, Quest usually will not talk to you about it any further but it is worth a try, call them and see.
