How Often Should You Wash Very Dry Hair?

In the past people may have said that you should restrict yourself to washing your hair maybe just once or twice a week. But now the good news is that you can wash your hair every day, if you wish. And, let's face it, with most of us using showers for our daily wash nowadays, we most likely end up washing our hair too, as part of our daily routine.

If you do want to wash your hair every day, you need to use a "Frequent Use" type of shampoo. Additionally, you need to be sure to use a conditioner, one of the "Dry Hair" types being best for you.

If your hair still looks rather dry after washing, try rubbing some moisturiser over the palms of your hands, and then rub your hands over your hair, (being sure to wash your hands afterwards!). This is a sure fire way to get rid of that "dry look".

If you have persistent problems with a dry flaky scalp, then a visit to your doctor may be in order, just to check that the problem is not due to a skin condition.

Your own natural keratin is the best for your hair so the less you wash it, the more hydrated your hair will become. I would say if your hair is very dry you should NOT be washing your hair everyday. Make sure you use a moisturizing shampoo, look at the ingredients, if there is a lot of alcohol, which it will be one of the first 6 ingredients, then dont use it. And make sure you leave a good conditioner in for at least 5 minutes a week until you notice a difference. Make sure you protect your hair from heat too....
