Can Any One Tell Me Why My Dog Can't Mount My Female Dog That Is In Heat Right Now?
She has been bleeding for at least 2 weeks but she stopped 2 days ago and my male dog has been trying really hard to mount her but he can't seem to get close enough to do the deed does anybody know why ?

You don't say what breeds they are, as obviously some body shapes are "incompatable". Is she taller than him? Does he have short legs?

You need to make sure shes ready. Just because shes in heat doesn't really mean she's ready. Every female has a different time when their ready. So females are ready 20 days into bleeding others 7 days so you just really got to keep an eye out. You also need to make sure she's flagging (her tail is up away from her but). Thats when you know for sure that she's ready....
