While your pup could potentially become very ill with something that appears similar to parvo and potentially as deadly from that, it would not actually catch canine parvovirus. Each species has their OWN version of parvo. In birds it's Polyoma. Cats Panleukopenia Virus. Humans is human parvovirus B19.
