    Cherry eye in dogs is referred to a condition which is characterized by prolapse of a gland in the third eyelid. This condition can affect one or both eyes. Some breeds of dogs are more prone to have this condition. Following are some causes of this condition.
    1. Unknown Causes
    2. Genetically inherited
    3. Secondary to inflammation of eye
    4. Weakness of ligaments of the third eyelids
    Topical corticosteroids can be used but surgery is best option.
